Through a blend of photographic imagery and acrylic painting, she creates ethereal compositions designed to transport viewers to alternate states of consciousness or reality. Her work invites contemplation, asking audiences to pause, immerse themselves, and uncover the emotions, thoughts, or visions each piece evokes. “What meanings and insights arise,” she challenges, “when you allow yourself to see what can only be seen when you no longer look?”

 

Elizabeth describes her creative process as “thoughtlessly mindful.” She relies on intuition rather than deliberate thought, allowing her art to emerge organically. In her photographic work, she becomes part of the image, waiting patiently for “worlds within worlds” to reveal themselves, never altering or manipulating the original photo. For her acrylic paintings, Elizabeth employs an unconventional approach, favoring her hands and everyday objects—such as tin foil, plastic flowers, or paper towel rolls—over traditional brushes. She works in layers, building color and texture upon one another, often photographing her finished canvases to create entirely new interpretations of the original work—a creation born from a creation.

 

Elizabeth’s achievements reflect her dedication to her craft. Her work was recently featured on the iconic “I Love NY” billboard in Times Square as part of an international group of 25 artists. She has exhibited in New York City’s East Village galleries and has participated in numerous nationally juried gallery shows across local and regional platforms.
